Brail is built for people with low vision. Accessibility is not an afterthought for us. It is the reason this product exists.
Our Commitment
We aim to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA across brail.vision. This includes the landing page, waitlist form, and all supporting pages.
What We've Done
- Skip navigation link for keyboard users
- All form inputs have visible labels
- Color contrast meets WCAG AA (4.5:1 minimum)
- Animations respect
prefers-reduced-motion - High contrast mode support via
prefers-contrast - Keyboard-navigable interactive elements with visible focus indicators
- 3D content is decorative only (marked
aria-hidden) with all information available in HTML - Error messages announced to screen readers via
role="alert" - Smooth scrolling disabled on touch devices
Known Limitations
- The 3D hero scene (WebGL) is not accessible to screen readers. All content conveyed by the scene is also available as text on the page.
- Some decorative SVG icons may lack descriptive alt text. These are supplementary to adjacent text labels.

Technical Details
This site is built with Next.js, React, and Tailwind CSS. We test with VoiceOver (macOS), keyboard-only navigation, and automated tools (Lighthouse, axe-core).
